Blackwell: Just Another Crazed Neocon
So, Florida Governor Jeb Bush endorsed Ohio Secretary of State J. Kenneth Hackwell for governor. After all, they were very close in the year 2000, when Hackwell was described as the Bush family’s “secret weapon” when the well-known political crime family stole the 2000 election. As more and more revelations come forward regarding the criminal nature of this White House, Hackwell’s ties become more apparent.
The AP reported yesterday that the phone jamming efforts in the 2002 election in New Hampshire, when Republicans jammed the Democratic “Get Out The Vote” phone lines, are linked to the White House. Republican operative James Tobin, recently convicted in the phone jamming scheme, made two dozen calls to the White House in the three day period surrounding Election Day 2002.
You can bet that Rove was at the other end of those calls. That’s the same Rove Hackwell is reported to have met with on Election Day 2004 in Ohio. What also occurred in Ohio prior to Election Day were the activities of the Mighty Texas Strike Force, a dirty tricks squad linked directly to the White House as well. Hackwell did nothing to stop the voter intimidation in Ohio and, in fact, aided and abetted those criminal activities.
Hackwell’s ties to the Bush family go deep. He was appointed U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission by Bush the Elder in 1991. But more frightening are his direct ties to the crazed neocons who want to nuke Iran and start World War III. Hackwell is on the advisory board of the neocon Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). The Prince of Darkness himself, Richard Perle, is also on the board. JINSA and their lackey Hackwell support the illegal use of the U.S. military for “regime change in nation-states known to provide support or knowingly harbor terrorist groups including Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Libya.” Hackwell and his cohort Perle, and his good friend Paul Wolfowitz who was recently honored by JINSA, have already lied us into war in Iraq.
Hackwell is a pawn of the Bush boys and the neocon crowd that spends its time whipping far-right theocrats into a “rapture ready” ecstasy so they can serve as a political base for waging endless and enduring illegal war against enemies real and imagined. So, as Bush talks about nuking Iran, remember who his key ally in Ohio is — J. Kenneth Hackwell, the man who stole the 2004 election.
The ties between the Bush crowd and Hackwell must be exposed even more as the campaign progresses. “Dirty Tricks” didn’t stop with Nixon. These guys in Ohio, Florida and D.C. know how to play the game as well.
What is this Texas Strike Force thing? I knew that the Bushies had their Texas allies, but I didn’t realize they also sent posses to other states.
Texas Strike Force people included out-of-staters who stood at the phone booths outside the Ohio GOP headquarters and made untraceable calls to Black voters, who were known to be mostly Democrats, telling them lies such as “You can’t vote if you have any parking tickets” or “A to M names vote on Tuesday and N to Z vote on Wednesday.”
These smarmy people should be charged with the crime of “theft of democracy,” except that we don’t have an affirmative right to vote.
If they can follow Clinton to the endth degree using prosecutorial discretion, why can’t they follow through with Bush. They always seem to back off…. perhaps they are gathering more facts?
Bush is like the nations puppy, if he goes potty on the best carpet, we just pat him on the head and say bad boy.
